As you can imagine, projects of this magnitude can only be accomplished with the help of many great people. People like you.
You can support us financially, materially, physically or by sharing your knowledge, but also as a support member.
Donations are used exclusively to fund the scientific research and development through the projects that we organize.
FYD-Adventure e.V. is a non-profit organization of public interest. Donations are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt from us if you decide to support us. This also applies to material donations.
Financial participation
For whatever amount you may be able donate to our organization, we appreciate you and we thank you so very much.
However, we have come up with an idea for those of you who donate at least €100. For those who donate this amount, their name or the name of another person of your choice will be placed on the mast of the yacht and will sail with us around the world for the 10 year duration of the project.

Material participation
To say that we need a lot of material to carry out this project would be an understatement. From a €5 clamp, to the water analysis station at €90,000, to the orbital sander, a satellite phone, and of course, boat equipment (such as winches, hatches, sails, outboard motor, windlass, solar panels, watermaker, etc.), or even research equipment (microscopes, plankton filter, etc.).
As you can see, the list of material needed is so very long that we cannot list everything here. As with your ideas, no donation is too small to be of use. If you wish to contribute material goods, please call us or write us an email.
Together we will decide how you can support the FYD project.
Physical participation
There are many ways you can support the FYD project, including using your own hands.
The donation of time and energy is also needed and greatly appreciated. If you would like to lend a hand, these are some of the areas you may help: in the construction of the boat, prepare and organize an expedition, help and support the researchers in their work, offer technical help for the production of our films, and more.
Teachers, doctors, plumbers, electricians, boat builders, carpenters, IT specialists, … and of course people without special training are needed.

Become a support member
Any individual or company can become a supporting member.
FYD-Adventure selects crew members, expedition companions, development agents, cultural ambassadors and cinematographic assistants among its Support Members (after verification of their skills).

Monthly membership fees for:
- Individual €30 (Euro)
- Company or Legal Entity €100 (Euro)

Membership sponsorship terms
Any individual, Company or Legal Entity or Students or unemployed and/or disabled individuals who wishes to promote the association's objectives and statutes in the long term can become a supporting member and undertake to fulfill their obligations as members. People under the age of 18 require authorization from their legal guardian.
A written declaration of membership (application form) is required to become a supporting member. The board of directors decides on provisional admission. The next general assembly decides on the final admission of all supporting members by a two-thirds majority. For final admission, it does not matter that the member has been previously admitted.
Supporting members are members who do not have to be active in the association, but who promote and support the objectives and purpose of the association in an appropriate manner. They have no voting rights.
Support members have the right to participate in all events offered by the association.
Membership is terminated:
- By leaving voluntarily. The resignation must be declared in writing to the board of directors. It is authorized with one month's notice before the end of the calendar year.
- By exclusion. A support member can be expelled from the association if his behavior seriously violates the interests of the association.
- By terminating membership. Membership can be terminated if the member is late in paying contributions despite two written warnings from the board of directors.
- Due to the loss of legal capacity of the Company or Legal Entity.
- By the death of the member.
Upon termination of membership, for any reason, all rights acquired as a supporting member cease. Membership fees, donations or other support services will be non-refundable. This does not exclude the obligation to pay contributions until the end of the calendar year.
